Meet Dr. Deborah Chau
“I love being able to meet new people from all different walks of life and get a glimpse into their world and experiences. I appreciate the manual dexterity, the opportunity to connect with patients, and the knowledge of health and science that dentistry requires. I also love that dentistry allows me to be a perpetual student. I love learning about new things!” – Dr. Chau
Dr. Deborah Chau attended the University of the Pacific for her Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Sciences. While there, she worked as a peer tutor for chemistry, biology, and physics.
During her time at the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, she was accepted into the Tau Kappa Omega honors society, won the ADA/Dentsply Research Award, and was a peer tutor for biochemistry, physiology, and anatomy. She was also the keynote speaker for Clinical Excellence/Pacific Research Day, where she gave lectures on the importance of evidence-based dental education and dental practice.
After earning her Doctorate of Dental Surgery, Dr. Chau attended the University of Minnesota for her General Practice Residency. There, she saw medically compromised patients, special needs patients, head and neck cancer patients, and solid organ transplant patients for dental treatment.
Dr. Chau loves that the SF Bay Area has something for everyone, whether you like the city or outdoors. She likes hiking, camping, skiing, eating, and general exploring the best!
